Overview
Our goal is to create the most educationally rewarding online tutoring experience for your child. To ensure the best outcomes possible, Tutorzilla purports that education is not a “one lesson fits all” program. Your child has a preference for how s/he perceives, processes and presents information. This preference is known as his/her Learning Style. Tutorzilla has researched over fifty Learning Styles theories, models and inventories and have synthesized three dominant, valid and reliable theories for successful tutoring outcomes of our students1.
What is a Learning Style?
There are many different theories, models and categories of Learning Styles dating back to over 2,500 years ago. For today’s educational purposes, a learning style may be defined as, “more or less the consistent manner in which an individual prefers to perceive, process, conceptualize, organize, retrieve and present information.”
Your child's homework tutors are most effective when they know your child’s individual Learning Style. This information allows them to customize your child's online learning experiences and maximize learning results. Students learn better and more quickly if the instructional methods used by a teacher or tutor match their preferred learning styles.
