Getting Started with Online Tutoring is Easy!
So you've been trying to find a tutor, and now you're worried that online tutoring may be out of your technological reach? Don't worry! It is as easy as 1-2-3 to get set-up and rolling with Tutorzilla. First go to the Create an Account page and create an account. You’ll need to provide your e-mail address, create a password, and provide us with the best phone number to contact at to get your computer set-up. Once you’ve done that, you can go in and book a session. You’ll need to specify the Subject Area that you want your child to get homework help in, the date/time of the session, any comments you have for the tutor, and you’re ready to get the learning started!
Will My Computer Work for This?
If you are worried about whether your computer will work with our whiteboard technology, you can put your fears to rest right now. After you’ve booked the session, you will get a call from our friendly customer service department and we’ll walk you through everything you need – including getting you to the site your child will be working at with the tutor. Using online tutoring is easier than you think! If you have any additional questions about how things will work, we will get them answered. Leave everything to us!
What Equipment Do I Need?
The only equipment that you need is a computer with an internet connection. We have found that students seem to have the most productive sessions when they are talking with the tutor using a headset/mic. For around $15 you can get a pair – You can purchase a headset online with our link on our Tutoring Resources page, or you can go to most office supply/computer stores and they carry these in stock. This is all you need to get started, except for the most important thing: a curious and eager mind to be tutored!
