Struggling Middle School Teachers & Kids

In the Dec. 12th issue of "Science Daily", there is an article titled "US Middle School Math Teachers Ill-prepared" which talks about the teaching level in math of Middle School Teachers in the countries of the United States, South Korea, Taiwan, Germany, Bulgaria and Mexico.  The article featured a study done by Michigan State University that compared how teachers were prepared to teach math in these various countries.  Unfortunately the US scored at the middle to bottom in almost all of the categories.  One very important fact discovered was that one of the areas that US teachers scored the lowest was in algebra, which is "the heart of middle school math."

So what is the United States supposed to do to compensate for this deficiency?  How can a middle school student who is struggling in algebra improve in that subject?  One easy solution would be for the student to get a little online algebra tutoring.  The benefit of using online tutoring for students and parents is that they can have the session when it works best into their schedule.  All the student has to do is create an account with Tutorzilla and then book their tutoring session.  The student will be connected with an online Pre Algebra Tutor, online Algebra I Tutor, or online Algebra II Tutor who can help them with their struggles in math.

As the United States continues to struggle in the areas of math and science, it will continue to fall behind on the international level.  Unfortunately it is coming to a point where not only the students are behind but so are their teachers!  While there is debate about how to correct this problem in the long term, an immediate solution is for the students to get help with online tutoring services from Tutorzilla.
